It seemed like this day would never come again, but I'm here to announce that the Giant McShep AU List and the Half-Canon List have been updated.

All links have been checked and either:
moved to AO3
switched to Dreamwidth
retrieved with help from the Wayback Machine
dug out of any available corner of the internet with the help of Google, or
sadly noted as being no longer available


Please let me know if you find any errors (lord knows I was coding with my eyes crossed at many points), wrong/misspelled author names, or mistyped word counts. I used the name from the posting site, and the word count if stated. (Except for the ones I copied and pasted into a doc to get an accurate count. My brain is a scary place.)

There are 91 AU and 3 half-canon new entries, so get to reading!

The ones with '=' before the link? I've read them all.
The ones with '-' before the link? I haven't read them. Yet.

Back when the list was only 200 or so, I kept starting fics and realizing I'd read them before. This was my way to keep track. I'm a maniac. :D

CLEVER. I had always wondered *grins* It's a great way to keep all those links handy too.

I abuse pinboard's "unread" feature to keep track of what I still have to read. Though it unfortunately hides fics from everyone who is not me, so I can't share my "to read" list with everyone.

Oooo, that could work! Though it'd be a LOT of screenshots. I have 563 links marked as "unread". It's multi-fandom though.

What about copying it to a new account? One with a password that can be safely shared with friends?

I'm all about getting around silly restrictions. What are enormous lists of fics for if not for sharing? :D

I suppose I could add a "to read" tag to all my unread stuff, and just move them out of the "unread" area, which is what makes them invisible.

You're welcome. They're some of my favorites, too, so when I came across anonymoouse's list, I sort of went crazy and it all went on from there. :D

It is a lot of work, but only because I do it in spurts instead of as I go along. I'm trying to get better at that, but the impulse to rush off and read the next thing (instead of noting the fic/link info) is very strong. :P
